Hi Ross,
We land 10pm on the Saturday so it would be possible for us to just wait and not get a hotel to head early with you. I suppose the only issue is if either of us get delayed on our flight.
Can I ask aswell is your plan to get lifted from the airport directly or from Colombo. The airport is about 30km north of Colombo. Might it be easier to have the taxi lift us at the airport?
Finally on the quote I think a car would be fine except for the amount of baggage. My girlfriend and I each have one large 30kg suitcase and another medium 10kg bag. So 4 bags + your luggage + 4 people may not fit in a car.

We are landing at 0200 so rather than get a hotel in Colombo we are going go straight away (03:00).
I suppose that wouldn't be convenient for you?
FYI I have been quoted 30k for car and 42k for minivan so far
